Snowboarder riding deep powder in Little Cottonwood Canyon

A Top Flow Media production

The Film

Jerryatricks is a feature-length film about Little Cottonwood Canyon and the people who brought snowboarding to it. It blends three things that rarely share a screen: real history, one rider's life story, and a modern snowboard film.

01

The History

From the first boards in Utah to today, the film traces how snowboarding grew up in and around the canyon: the early riders, the first shops, the photographers who documented it and the culture that came out of it.

02

The Story

The film follows Dan Ray, a Murray kid who saw snowboarding in skateboard magazines, learned on borrowed boards and went on to ride professionally. His story ties the history together and shows what the sport gave a generation of Utah kids.

03

The Riding

The last act is pure snowboarding: a highly produced film shot in Little Cottonwood with friends, legends and the next generation.
